Aglaia mou, I am going to take off on this for our Thanksgiving menu (we have 4 vegetarians at the table), using small squash similar to delicata and filling them with a mixture of wild rice, pecans instead of walnuts, and dried cranberries instead of raisins–all to keep it to the Native American ideal. It’s a great idea, for which I thank you. I’ll let you know how mine turns out. xo Nancy

  2. This is just what we’re looking for, and for once, we have all the ingredients on hand, including a big bag of bright yellow quinces from a friend’s tree. You must have dreamed this recipe up just for us, to warm us up in chilly Vermont! Can’t wait to make it.
