It is kritamo (κρίταμο) a wild slightly aromatic plant that grows near the sea. It is pickled and added to salads, to marinated sardins and other meze. Rock samphire is itrs botanical name.

I made fava just yesterday following your receipt of your vegetarian cookbook. It was delicious, simple combination of amazing flavors… just perfect. There was only one negative about that receipt…. it was not enough fava for our 4 member family! Next time I have to double the amount of all ingredients 🙂
