Yes, I also love the figs in savory dishes, and of course the pickled. Check my previous Sweet & Sour Figs https://www.aglaiakremezi.com/sweet-and-sour-fig-jam/ But I would LOVE to try yours, if you like to share it. I fixed it a few hours after I hastily posted the recipe with the wrong date (!) So sorry, Susanne for the inconvenience! I hope you have checked again to read the recipe.
Thanks for your patience!

Have you tried pickling ? Some people make a face, but as soon as they have some their minds are changed. Whenever I have had the good fortune of having an abundance of figs available to me, even when I haven't, I will do a small batch. They go with everything, from meats to ice cream. There are a lot of recipes and mine has varied;especially when I lost the original for many years.

i love figs, i love honey, I love sweet - I'm sweating with withdrawal symptoms just reading about your jams, I am so lucky that we had such a harsh winter that 80 percent of our fig trees died off - I have only seen one tree with actual figs to eat to date and with luck it is in a house that allows me to "steal" some of their produce. Keep experimenting and posting because after going sugar free for months you might have railroaded me but for Mother Nature. I will go back to eating "au natural" but I'll be looking for your recipe next year! Keep up the good posts!
